Asked by Naomi Aug 04, 2022 at 03:40 AM about the 1996 Opel Corsa B

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, I have a 1996 opel corsa lite. The cars revs goes extremely high i was
informed it is the petrol cable and i have replaced the petrol cable but its fine for
a few days and then it revs extremely high again. It does not happen when i
press my clutch in to change gears, it happens mostly when the car is idling
What could cause this?

Hi please change both idc valve ( idling sensor and tps throttle position sensor ) idc valves is what controlls the idling and they intend to get sticky but its a cheap part at Goldwagen

Replace both the idling and throttle position sensors. I had the same problem and that solved it.
