Will my rearend interchange?

I have  a 1999 ford ranger with a 4.10gr with a 8.8,
with a manual transmission, I also have a 1998
ford ranger 4.10gr with a 8.8 rearend but it's an
automatic , will the 98 rearend work in the 99?

I would think this will work. Compare them in case there was some year to year change.
