Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1995 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0
straight 6 cylinder. I have already replaced
the water pump, thermostat, and starter. Old
starter needed a few taps on it to start,
replaced it with a refurbished from advanced
auto. Been working great ever since - tried
starting it the other morning all my interior
lights came on and the radio works but no
engine noise or clicking sounds. Made sure
all connections are tightened and connected,
after doing a little research I tried starting it
up in the neutral position and it started right
up which leads my to believe something is up
with my NSS. Any thoughts?

@T_S_T but what should I do, yeah if I try starting it in park it doesn’t even make a clicking sounds anymore but in neutral it starts right up, should I take out the NSS and clean it or what?
