I have 2problems first is the jeep cranks and dies its my daughter jeep so she runs it low or out of gas a lot so I thinking fuel filter

the second problem is it gets up to about 55 mph and it starts to shimmy but when I give it gas it quits until I let off

Good answers. Also check drive shafts for looseness that would indicate worn universal joints causing shimmy/vibration.

My 1986 jeep does the same, it shakes badly from 40 to 50 or so, after that is okay,sometimes shakes soo bad that feels like a horse
