My jeep is running real rich can the
temp.sending unit cause this?

CHECK YOU MAP SENSOR. BAD VACUMM LINE BETWEEN SENSOR AND THROTTLE BODY WILL CAUSE AN OVERRICH CONDITION. BLACK SMNOKE. THEY ARE CHEAP AND EASILY REPLACED.
