98 Jeep cherokee would pivot/pull back when accelerate and rock forward when I stop.

Asked by tdhmoose Sep 07, 2015 at 12:09 PM about the 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4-Door 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I do have just one more question about my 98 jeep cherokee sport AWD. A
pivot question. When I accelerate, I feel the truck slightly pull back and the
same thing happens when I come to a complete stop (even very gently), the
truck would pivot slightly forward, (rock forward) I say about 2 or 3 degrees.
When this happens I thought I heard a possible knock sound as well.

Any suggestions,
Amos

Update, I think I found a possible answer. I was told to grease my drive shaft yokes. I will look into that.
