Ignition

Asked by migration_Alamony Feb 06, 2016 at 02:59 AM about the 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport 2-Door 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I noticed the lights on the power Windows/locks
were on so I was checking around and seen my
radio and wipers had power with the key out. After
doing some reading I went out to check ignition.
When I turned the key back it seemed just a little
past where it should stop the chime started
dinging and a little wiggle seemed to solve the
problem. Is it my ignition switch? The actuator? Or
the lock? I don't want to buy UN nessisary parts

Sounds as if your problem will be the ignition switch...

I think it's the lock cylinder. The key comes out in any position I had it in the acc position and sense the key came out I didn't realize it was on acc
