Hello, I had this same problem, though in a Volvo instead of a Jeep. It was so frustrating! There were no error codes, and one mechanic told me he couldn't fix anything he couldn't see (actually a good point and nice of him not to try to take my money...). It turned out to be a sticking thermostat. I had that repaired and the stalling stopped. However, I will tell you what both mechanics told me: with an older car (mine is a 1997), stalling can be caused by any number of problems, and can be expensive to diagnose. The thermostat worked for me, hopefully something similar will be at the root cause of your SUV's stalling problem. Best of luck! CarGrrl
