Heater not blowing as hot as it should?

Asked by Toni Feb 24, 2015 at 03:51 PM about the 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport 2-Door 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport.  At the end of summer my AC stopped blowing cold air.  I tried refrigerants but they were only a temporary fix.  Since that happened the heater does not blow hot air like it used to.  Are these two related problems or are they separate?

check to see if the a/c lines are cold ... if they are than you might have a blend door problem which is common on jeeps ... when it doesnt work properly it makes ac not to cold and heat not to hot ... bad news is that you have to go in dash , in which i would change out blend door and heater core at the same time...
