clicking noise while idling

while my truck is idling it has a clicking noise in the
middle of my engine a little towards the back.
when i gas it goes away. medium loud just
bothersome.

get a piece of radiator hose and have someone listen thru it at the hot exhaust header pipes , a small leaking gasket makes a ticking you would not expect

V6 OHV or SOHC V6? SOHC engine could be rear tensioner.
