can i put a 4.0 sohc in a4.0 pushrod explorer

i have a 1999 explorer4.0pushrod motor thats bad will a4.0 sohc motor work in it

I answered your question on the first post. I wanted to add the difference between the two engines is the SOHC engine has 25 more ponies in it. I have had both engines in explorers. I prefer the pushrod myself as it is an older proven design with less built in problems.
