My rear doors will lock with the power locks but the rear drivers side door will not unlock. What can I do to make it work? It also makes a terrible grinding sound

Will not unlock by power? If it locks the switch is ok. It sound like there is something holding the unlock mechanism back. Look at the lock and see if the plastic button is up against the metal of the hole it goes in. Take the button out, try lock again. If no luck spray some lubricant, check the metal rod going into the door for a bend. Worst case take off the door panel. ( not fun, not as simple as it sounds with all the clips etc(If you use a spray use something that doesn't have a strong odor like lithium grease spray and use something to get down inside door )
