cause of battery drain?

Asked by GuruDFK18 Mar 01, 2020 at 08:33 PM about the 2003 Jeep Liberty Sport

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

new battery and charging system checked.  Do you think that a blinking red
light on the dash indicating doors locked could drain the battery?  With engine
off I use the clicker to lock.  There is no alarm system installed.

You need to check each electrical circuit individually. It could be an open short anywhere. Are you good with a multi meter? Go to youtube and search under Parasite draw.
