Why was the price of the vehicle more than the listed price on Car Gurus

Asked by Guru96YNT2 Nov 29, 2022 at 06:41 PM about the 2004 Jeep Wrangler SE

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

The pricing rating that Car Gurus provides was based on a $9,995 price that
was featured.  When you read the details of the sale it says that a $2,000 down
payment was part of the price.  This is not good and borders on bait and switch
+ the pricing rating which I thought was valuable in my decision is not as
accurate or trusted as I would have liked.  Thanks

So the actual price was 11995, too much for a 2004 unless it was in showroom condition with very low mileage. You really have to watch the way they word stuff.

Yes, I agree but when looking at the price rating compared to the market on the Car Gurus evaluation, it comes in as a great price when in actuality it may be a good price or worse. That information is not accurate.

You've entered the world of used car sales where anything goes. Be thankful you caught this before you paid for the POS. A lot of people don't. It's like fine print in contracts and it's very common
