Is there a possible link with code p3040 and the transmission

2 days ago my check engine light came on and the code was
p3040 and since then it has stalled twice and the transmission
feels like it jerks for like 2-3 seconds sometimes when I
exselerate, it feels like a jerking that's the best way to describe
it could that also be from the censor that I need to replace
which I'm doing tomorrow.

Thank u for the advise I didn't think that would help but I was hoping, the transmission is only 8 months old in my truck as it is, I bought the jeep back in Oct from a dealer and it went about 6 hours after a bought it.
