2006 jeep liberty A/C bypass pulley?
2006 jeep liberty a/c seizing. Can I
obtain a bypass pulley anywhere? Or
can I get a shorter belt and omit
compressor?
Your AC compressor runs on a clutch that's between the compressor and the belt/pulley. As long as the AC isn't turned on, the compressor is isolated from the belt. When you set the HVAC to defrost, that engages the AC to dry air, so if you use defrost or defog, just unplug the AC electrical so it will never run.
