Upgrading to LED or Halogen headlights, rewire needed ??

Does a 1999 Escort ZX2 Hot Coupe require different plugs than OE
for upgrading to Halogen or LED headlight assemblies? Are the
original electrical couplers the same? Which is better LED or
Halogen?

checkout theretrofitsource they carry all you need. LED bulbs need special housings, they are not recommended to be used in a Halogen light assembly even though some people do it. The beam is too scattered to be safe.
