Wiring for fuel injectors

Asked by GuruDS8PQ Aug 29, 2017 at 08:28 AM about the 1987 Chevrolet Celebrity Wagon FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1987 Chevy Celebrity Wagon. 2.8
liter, 6 cylinder. Just cut off on me twice
while driving. Second time car would turn
over but not start. Put the car in the shop. It
was there for over a week. They finally got it
to run but only on 5 cylinders. Told me that
when they connect the 6th cylinder, the wire
burns and the car won't start. They said the
fuel injector wires all melt together. From
what I know it is dangerous not to mention
could cause damage to the engine to run my
car this way. I need help! What should I do?

find the nearest scrap yard ... take your car there ... after about 100 000 miles these cars self destruct
