2017 Tundra SR Model - Clicking/hitting noise

Asked by Garrett Jun 14, 2018 at 09:42 PM about the 2017 Toyota Tundra SR Double Cab 5.7L

Question type: General

Every single time I start the truck - within the first 10-30 yards something in the engine is kicking/clicking and it doesn't sound right. It doesn't matter if AC on or not. Anyone familiar with this?

1 Answer

I believe it is the brake system check. This is normal sound which is heard after the system check is completed successfully. My 2017 Tundra does the same thing. It’s normal.
