Drive Wheel ?

Asked by GuruBSZNY Dec 31, 2018 at 10:56 AM about the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTZ Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: General

My left rear tire wears faster than the others. At 27,000 miles this one needs
replaced while the others a do not. The Dealer Service tech said the left rear
wheel is the DRIVE wheel and it will wear faster. Is this true??

I've never heard of such a thing. Find a shop that can perform an alignment on a 4 wheel drive and let them take care of your problem. You might want to ask that tech what a limited slip differential does.
