How much does a resonator effect backfire loudness??

Asked by Wrxlover17 May 31, 2018 at 09:19 PM about the 2017 Subaru WRX Premium

Question type: Car Customization

So I have a 2017 wrx and I had a nameless muffler delete
on it and i I was able to make it backfire if I shifted around
5500 rpm or just pushed the clutch in an revved it up to
about 5k. About a month ago I added a nameless catback
(resonated) and it completely got rid of all backfire just
about, every now and then I can get one very loud pop but
I am wondering if I get the resonator deleted will the
backfires be louder than the muffler deletes or will it be
about the same any help is very appreciated!!

I also have the same issue. Did you by any chance find a way to backfire again?
