ford taurus same old problem won't start

Asked by allngrav Nov 24, 2016 at 07:41 AM about the 2000 Ford Taurus SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a newer vehicle so the Taurus sat in the driveway for about a month. I had to move it to cut grass. No problem started right up, moved it and it ran just like always. The very next week I got in turned the key and it wouldn't start. The only way it will start now is with starting fluid. Also my tach gauge needle is not moving. Help I need to fix it so I can get rid of it. I've had it for 4 years and drove it to and from work Monday-Friday. This is the only problem I've had except replacing the starter and the battery.
