I just purchased 2017 BMW X3, it does not have a jack stand. I understand that it does not need a spare tire as it can run on flat for 100 miles.

Vehicles do not come standard with jack stands. Are you getting them confused with an actual jack? Your car does not come with a spare or jack due to it coming with run flats.
