Starting the Car

Asked by PRoyals7 Jul 22, 2018 at 08:22 AM about the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe SE Ultimate FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

On my 2017 Santa Fe, when I push the ignition button, I hear a click then the instrument panel goes black and the car won't start.  When I open the door, the panel comes back.  When I close the door the car will start.  I have to do this several times on some occasions.  The car could start normally for a period of time, and then this just happens. When the instrument panel does come back on, I always have to reset the "sounds" setting.  Otherwise, no other setting are lost.
