I like the old one wire alternator like on
an 85. Would it work on my 89?

I have the brown wire and red in the back. I lost the nut on the inside. So i ran power wire in stock plug. It wouldnt charge. So i ran wire just to see off my gauge fuse. Now its charging 14 with no wire to the back. If theres a better way though let me know. Thanks.
