1989 Chevy Silverado c1500 5.7L, I had a floppy steeing column issue. Took the column apart and tightened the bolts down. Put it back together but now when I turn the key to ACC, no lights or radio, nothing, not even the click to it. Then when I try to start it, theres no resistance with the key turning and it doesnt start. Im tired of taking it apart and trying to figure out why it wont work. Help is appericated

Make sure the actuator rod didn't fall out of the ignition switch you can see the ignition switch mounted on the steering column just lay on your back and look, if that's OK take the column apart one more time and this time look at the actuator rod and the gear rack it's attached to your problem will be there.
