My 1990 silverado brake lights do not work,the bulbs and fuse are good but I don't know how to find out if it is the brake switch,I've taken it off and connected the white and green wires together ...

Brake lights still not working after I replaced brake switch. Running lights,blinkers,reverse all work. Fuses in panel good,bulbs good, what else can I check?
