Is it wise to buy a 1998 Infiniti q45 with approx 155,00 miles, in apparently excellent shape otherwise? I only drive about 4000-4500 miles per year. Thanks.

If the Q45 was properly serviced then it might be a good buy. Infiniti vehicles can be expensive to repair so keep that in mind.

$3499 is not too bad a price, assuming the Q has been well-maintained. To that end, I'd recommend doing all you can to evaluate the vehicle (or any vehicle for that matter) to ensure you're not taking on a money pit. If so, you'd be getting a great, reliable car. Keep in mind that the second-generation Q was refreshed in 1999, so the 1998 is missing the restyled front and rear fascias, Xenon HID headlights, glass sunroof (instead of metal) and redesigned dash.
