my temp gage read High and low

Asked by 97chevy Mar 23, 2017 at 03:10 PM about the 1997 Chevrolet C/K 1500 WT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The temp gage on my 97 chevy pickup will go as
high as 230 then will drop to 150 within about 5
min of it running, I have replaced the thermostat,
water pump, I have checked for air in the hose and
checked to see if the hoses are pressurized. The
problem will not go away and I need help figuring
out what it is.
