Hi, I have a 98 k1500 chevy pick up and my gas gauge is broken it is always vibrating and is always on full of somtimes empty and never in between so i never know how much gas i have does anyone know what is wrong and or how i can fix it?

It's the float inside the fuel sending unit. You need to drop the gas tank to access this

Unfortunately the only way to change the float is to change the entire fuel sending unit

Your best bet would probably be Napa, they're about 300-350$ but the quality is unmatched
