have a 1989 chevy G20 van, the running lights won't go on but when I turn on
the high beams on they all go on.

Sounds like the park lite wire in the front got shorted or crossed with the high beam wire, is the tail lite fuse blown? The front light wiring is hard to get at but I hunch your problem up there, you may have to remove the grill to make it easier, I'd bet if you put a 20 amp fuse in place of the fuse already there then turn on the park lights the high beams will come on as well. You may want to do that, then feel for warm wiring up front. I hope this helps
