Question type: General

I have an 87 Chevy C10 with dual fuel tanks. We have filled up the driver's
side tank twice and noticed the pass. tank was over flowing fuel out of the
truck. Tried to switch to the pass. tank and truck acts like it's not getting fuel
and wants to die. We've not ever filled up the pass. tank so this means the
return from the driver's side tank is going into the pass. tank for some
reason, but yet when we switch to that tank nothing happens and we can
hear the fuel pump working so please help!!!!

The tank selector valve likely needs replaced. When it fails on a certain position it will cause the other tank to overflow. Before replacing the valve make sure it has power going to it.
