Why are ads for cars not removed when sold?

Question type: General

Why are ads for cars sold not removed after they are sold? Who is responsible for removing ads for sold cars? I see the same ads again and again even after they've been sold online.

Dealers should get with the program and remove ads for cars already sold. I keep coming across the same ads again and again.

In heaven, that's how it would work. But we're not in heaven. Dealers tend to leave ads up in hope of drawing more customers; the sad thing is, it works. Don't be surprised if you find ads that are over a year old. You just have to get used to living with car dealers and their ethics. Or better yet, avoid them like the plague: your life will be much easier.

Plus cars are sold so fast today, that by the time the dealer spends the time to put an ad up the car is gone.
