You can't have any codes up and they allow one monitor to be present . After you clear the codes you have to do some driving to get the monitors cleared , have at least 1/2 a tank of gas , Vehicles are different in the amount/type of driving that has to be done . 30 -60 miles .

I'm assuming you had the vehicle serviced and the computer was cleared so the readiness monitors are not set. There's no set mileage to get the readiness monitors to set. You need to drive the vehicle a few days with the gas gauge between three quarters and one quarter full. No more or no less in the gas tank. By doing that you should be fine as long as the check engine light doesn't come back on. Some States will allow you to pass inspection with one readiness monitor not set. Doesn't matter which one as long as all the others are set. Hope that helps! Jim
