Rough idle wants to stall with no error code

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi all. I just started having idle and stall issues with
my 2002 grand Cherokee overland. I read up on
some possible fixes the only problem I'm having is
no sensors are triggering when it happens. Is there
a way i can narrow my fix list down? Thanks

First, confirm the CEL is working, it should illuminate when you first turn key to on. Not all problems set an OBD trouble code, such as loss of fuel pressure (possibly caused by a dirty fuel filter, bad fuel pump, or fuel regulator). Other common problems that can affect idle and go unmarked by the OBD system are things like the IAC valve, or a vacuum leak (PCV), or a sticking EGR.
