02 jeep GC Overland overheating w/ ac on

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Seems to do fine while in idle, and when on the
highway (40 plus mph). Really only having a
problem in traffic with the ac on. Any ideas? Duel
speed fan or..? Just replaced the radiator so that's
not it.

Did you change the thermostat? did you flush the system when you changed the radiator? did you get all the air (bleed the system), is the pump working (moving water) are the fan coming on when the car is at temperature?
No thermostat, but yes to everything else. It's not an easy one to change out. The fan comes on when you start it up. I know some cars have a separate fan linked to the ac. Mine just has the one
Sound,s like it may be the water pump, high rpms moves the water, lower such as slow rpm in traffic want push water right.
It doesn't overheat unless the ac is on. Could it still be the pump?
It's still the water pump getting weak, ac just adds more load to engine
