1988 560sl radiator light on

My 1988 560sl radiator light is on however
the temperature gauge is always on the
mark. Is this a sensor problem only?
If so can anyone advise where the
appropriate sensor maybe located?

your coolant level is low causing the light to come on. top off level and light will go out.
