I have a 2000 Ford Explorer XLT 4.0 v6 and would like to know if there is any other Ford vehicles and their years that are interchangeable?

I would like to change out steering column so it tilts and maybe swap out the engine and or parts such as vac-hoses etc...

The engine in your 2000 is a 4.0 SOHC engine. That engine was present in the 1999 but also had a 4.0 pushrod engine..Previous engines were pushrod.
