4 wd lights on/off

I had issues w/ transmission transfer case ealier that i posted a question about . after reading other replies on other nrelated issues i unplugged the transfer case and the noise stopped , car runs fine BUT the 4WD indicator is on/off intermittenly. Do I have switch going bad

Sounds more like the position sensor for the front axle engage servo in the transfer case...
