ran codes for my civic, what should be my next step?

Asked by tomp Sep 27, 2011 at 04:49 PM about the 1991 Honda Civic LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I got a 4 , an 8 and a 16.   I ran the codes about 4 or 5 different times.
After taking a little ride down the street, resetting the ECC and doing it again.
The # 4 was there from the start. After about the 2nd time , the #16 joined in.
After the last ride around the block, doing about 2 mph's, i ran them again, and the #8 appeared.  What should be the process to fix my problem?.
Am i looking at an entirely new distributor? since 4 and 8 are both part of it?.
