92 honda accord

They told me my car wont pass smog if the check
engine light bulb is burned out but it turns on
before i crank the car on im doughting that it wont
pass because pf the bulb. Or can it?

Take it another place for smog, if the bulb is burnt then its burnt theere is nothing in between..

If it flashes on when you start it, it is NOT burned out and the station you went to is full of idiots. Have an auto part store do a free check for stored problem codes, if there are none it should pass. If it fails and no codes, the fail sheet will tell you why it failed and you will know where to begin looking for the problem. Not all parts of every system will trigger a check engine light all the time, but if something is wrong it should show in a code scan.
