New engine installation

I've just had an engine fitted in my kia soul, it's a
1.6 semi automatic,  the donor engine come from a
1.6 manual and can't get starter motor to fit and
making a graunching noise likes it's catching the
flywheel when it's trying to turn over. Please help

Starter may need to be shimmed, so it has proper clearance. Try a set of starter shims, the kits have a variety of shim sizes.
