What does it mean when your 3rd & 4th cylinders are misfireing???

I was told to get a tune-up but i'm still not sold on that answer alone so i'm asking you guys... you haven't been wrong yet...

A misfire simply means the ignition process did not happen or it was irregular. Possible causes are bad plugs, injectors, coil packs, wires, valves, cam.... to name a few.

If it's like my 03 Windstar there is 1 coil that supplies each of the 6 cylinders. That could be the culprit but more than likely it's plug wires. How many miles since the last tuneup?
