no spark after timing job done

had timing belt changed last sat than on tues car started and ran fine in the morning went to drive it later in the afternoon and car would not start. car turns over fine just will not start. had new battery put in about a month ago also. mechanic says there is no spark but coil and ignitor are fine. what else could b the prob?
