what is the spark plug wire sequence on distributor

1985 gmc s15 v6 with varijet carb. need spark plug wire install on distributor
to spark plug . what goes where. all the threds cover the newer 1986

Could be on the intake manifold .

If the distributor is still installed, just pick one lead and replace it so it connects to the same spark plug by following the wire.. Do the same for all 6 leads. If you have already removed the distributor, look up the firing order in the users manual, engine label, or reference manual or ask a tech at your local parts store/dealer. Then, you just have to locate cylinder #1 and move around the distributor in a clockwise direction. #1 is usually pointing at cylinder #1 in most engines.
