car dies and wont start sometimes cel code is a 4

I'm  trying to find my crank position sensor to replace it because my check engine light code reads a 4..I took off the balance shaft pulley and don't see the  sensor   my car shuts off and sometimes wont start  it's all apart sitting in my carport I just need the exact location of the crank position sensor
