why would my brakes not work when i had a blow out

I have a 2014 elantra and my rear passenger tire blewout. my car swerved and I tried to stop my car and brakes would not work. It felt like my brake pedal locked and wouldn't let me stop until my car slowed down to about 15 mph then they worked again.

The tire debris may have damaged a brake line, parking park cable,or ABS speed sensor harness have the vehicle inspected.
