how do i reprogram the radio in a 1996 honda accord

the battery was taken out. we tried to put the code in an after three times it sais error-3

To get the radio code you will need the serial number of the back of the radio.It was given to the original owner with the books. Some times the dealer will put a sticker with a 5 digit number on the walls of the glove box. If that sticker has more then 5 numbers call your local Honda dealer because that might the the serial number. ......I had to look all over heck and back to find that...error 3 is wrong code

Call your local honda dealer ..give them the vehicle VIN # they will provide you with a code.....i had to do the same for my 04 tl...ez fix
