My 96 Accord transmission tonight barley catching when taking off
then after get taken off it would fall on its face with high RPMs an not
catching anything but 2nd we drove to my friends house 35 stay alive in
2nd at 3an a half RPMs get to his house o back up reverse even slipping
when I go to pull out all I get is RPMs didn't catch at all so I go to back
up starts slipping then only RPMs thought reverse gone my friend gave
me a tow back to his house when we arrive reverse is back but still no
catch on my 1 2 D3 or D4 only RPMs all fluids up to par but does have
350,000 on car my friend said whole transmission I refused to believe
that after research an checking alot of things on car I'm thinking
Transmission solenoid controls everything in that automatic
transmission please input suggestions on wat you think??!!

With an automatic it is hard to tell and could be clutches, rings or solenoids or any combination, especially with that kind of mileage on it. If it only did it at certain speeds I would say the torque converter or torque converter switch, but I think your friend is probably right. Have you owned the car since new? Do you know if regular maintenance was done on it? When was the transmission fluid last changed and if it was what brand/type fluid was put back in? At mileage that high I am sure that there may be a lot of metallic sludge from metal wear in it and that plus high heat internally can jamb things up, especially the solenoid valves, since they have been using so much plastic in them.
