Question type: Car Customization

How do I connect an active speaker from like a
bookshelf stereo system to my car,( active speakers
have built in amps and just need a source of audio,
how do I provide that from the signal already going

The wiring diagram will show you the color of the door speaker wiring so you can just splice in and shrink wrap the connections then run the wires to the amp. Remember if your amp is two channel you will need both right and left. Now some vehicles have computers that check the vehicle’s systems even when the ignition is off and the car is locked, so if the amp is sensitive it can pick up these signals and turn itself on, so the amp will need a separate power relay so it only turns on when the key is turned on, this will prevent the battery from dying overnight.
